This is an excellent article that covers everything related to the Ba Na Hills for a tourist. It was really helpful in visualizing the cable car stations and the main touch points of the tour - specifically the individual itineraries that suit different needs, along with a lot of links to other helpful services. One additional info, that may have been important, are the Wow Passes, specifically, the Silver Wow Pass, which allows us to skip the lines for cable car rides.

Yes, the places you listed are truly highlights of Central Vietnam. However, I think you should combine My Son Sanctuary and Hoi An in one day, as well as Ngu Hanh Son and Son Tra Peninsula in another day. These itineraries will optimize your sightseeing time.

Actually, you have provided very detailed instructions about other attractions, and I really like them. These are definitely day trips from Da Nang that every tourist should consider.

In reply to Meher. Thank you!! It depends. One night might be enough. I spent one day there and managed to see most of it, although I skipped the new castle and adventure park. But if you enjoy nature, photography, and the rides, staying for two nights might not be too much either.

Apologies, I did not mean to call you an idiot (or anyone else). Just visiting more than 2 museums a day seems really a lot to me. I have a very blunt style of writing, you’re right to mention it’s not elegant. To explain: I was pouring over the Oslo Pass for a long time to see if it was worth it, but felt really ripped of. If you aren’t doing at least 2 museums a day, and then in 2 consecutive days, you will not get your money’s worth out of it.

To give you an example, say I wanted to visit Munch and National, Kon-Tiki and Fram (4 musea in 2 days), tickets for 2 adults would add up to 360 (munch, kids are free), 280 (kon-tiki), 400 (national, kids free), 280 (fram). In total 1320 NOK + transport, Ruter single tickets 42 adult. For the Oslo Pass I would need the 48h pass (24h only if you do one day late afternoon, other one very early morning, which seems not great to me), per adult it’s 760 NOK, total 1520. If you would add Kids pass (very expensive as so many musea are free for kids), add another 380 per kid. Total 760 + 1520 = 2280 NOK
Also, you cannot reserve a time slot with Oslo Pass, Munch for example has often special events, you don’t know how long you have to wait.

It just bugged me that they made it seem like a really good deal, but you have to do AT LEAST 3 museums a day be better off. Also, one of the popular museums in general, the Viking Museum, is not free, but only a discount.
